Making some changes to the blog

Just a heads up, I'm going to be making some changes to the way I do the blog posts. Instead of one "super" post with several subjects and today's newly posted items, I'm going to start doing smaller, more conventional posts in a more conventional format. I'm doing this for several reasons, but one of them is so that someone who wants to link to a point I make from another website doesn't necessarily have to be pointing to a post with Zenra Ice Skating, or whatever the latest wacky product is. Feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

I think I like the new format personally, although it's hard to read it upside down, depending on how you view the site. I also like being able to throw more visuals into individual posts, which hopefully improves things. Any thoughts on the changes?

I think I like the change. As you said, it's nice to see entries that are self-contained thoughts.

One change would help, though: increase the number of past posts displayed on the first page. Posting more often means that the same number of entries is less history. What used to be a week or so of posts visible when I wander in is now barely a single day on the front page.

The new post is nice. But it may not help your business, as we won't have to look through the 'new product' listings as we read a post.

dunno, I'm a fan of the "super format" where I get one big blog entry to read every day.

Erik, thanks for the suggestion, I'll change that now. Peter, I think it's okay, the items are there if you want to browse them. I dislike having content (say, something about Japan) that's necessarily bundled with the products, since it makes it hard for someone to link to just that idea.

I love the new format. With the old format, I really had to have the energy to read and sit through a multi-paragraph post, then sift through all the products.

Now, with each blog post being "bite-sized", it's a lot easier to read, and as a bonus, like you said, someone can link to that one idea instead of a huge post.

I love the new format! What can I say? Im a sucker for visual presentations and I always love your personal photos. It's kind of like Christmas in a way...like knowing you have a bunch of smaller presents under the tree, instead of one giant one. Everytime I check your blog, there are lots of little posts just waiting for me to look at! Very nice ^_^

Yes, a blog format that didn't allow more than one image despite three posts wasn't the best...
