New Image Hiding Feature on JBOX.com
We've been making more improvements around here, always finding ways to make your experience at J-List a better one. One question we've struggled with for some time was what to do about some of the items we sell on the JBOX.com site which feature, say, famous Japanese idols in bikinis. It's a hard question, since we don't want to group idols with wide appeal like Yuko Ogura on the "R" site only just because they're wearing a bikini, and yet some of those bikini shots can get pretty sexy. We think we've come up with a good solution that keeps some steamier PG items on the JBOX site without being a problem for people who surf the site at work. Now, all images of sexy bikini photobooks or calendars will be hidden but the first one, and if you want to see them, just click the "view images" button that's right there. Feedback on the new changes is always welcome!

Fantastic idea Peter.
Unfortunately, it's come too late for me at my work. We use the iPrism brand internet filter, and both Jlist and Jbox are locked out for being "Adult" sites and have been for some time.
You may have to spend some time contacting the various web filtering companies and getting the PG site removed from their "adult" lists. I'd suggest calling a lawyer, that's usually what it takes.

Silly. JBOX an adult site? Oh well. One thing you might do is try our RSSfeed which I believe is harder for them to block...?

yes, I'm a little nervous with recommending J-List or J-Box; both are pretty graphic to the "puritan/christian" majority of America, so to speak.
but I do send plenty of otaku over, heh.

That's good. Currently things should be much better, although if people are going to "see" hentai in a Megami Magazine issue, then there might not be much we can do.
By the way, The Weary Man, I emailed the company about your issue and they said JBOX is not blocked as adult. So it could be a custom entry by your company directly. Did the RSS feed work?
