Pictures from Anime Expo 2009
Okay, by reader request here are some pictures of the show, randomly and in no particular order.

The hit of the show were our spiffy J-List printed event bags we'd brought, which people were carrying all over the place.

Lots of cosplay to shoot pictures of. Here's a guy dressed up as Marisa from Touhou, which was entertaining.

Gothic Lolita Haruhi and Mikuru. Kawaii!

Sailor Uniform T-shirt from Lucky Star. This is fabulous.

These awesome cosplayers were channeling our BL game Absolute Obedience, and pushing people over to our table to buy the game.

The Domo-kun bootleggers were out in force. Of course, our Domo-kun products are all legit.

The most awesome hachimaki in the universe: Watashi wa Ecchi. An old classic from J-List.

Awesome girl in Bible Black cosplay buying yuri manga is awesome. Why were there no cool girls like this when I was single?

There were a lot of K-On! cosplayers. For that matter, our K-On! parody shirt was very popular.

Quite a few Macross Frontier cosplayers were roaming around. There was at least one Sheryl, too.

Also: let us all pause a moment and give thanks go Gainax for Yoko Cosplayers. This girl was just perfect.

I am such a Toradora! fan I had to take this girl's picture. Gao! I think it's a kid, and her mother was doing Ryuji, but I missed getting a picture together.

The five Lupin III cosplayers reading hentai manga was popular with my Twitter followers.

Street Fighter II cosplay. I remember when this wasn't "old school."

The highlight of the show was meeting Morning Musume and getting their autographs. I gave them all J-List tissues, too, which got me some concerned looks by the staff behind them.

Mmm, love the Yard House. Trader Vic's? Not so much. (They charged us a gratuity automatically even while taking our tips.)

Walking around after eating. Everyone complains about the con's location, but it's nice being in the heart of LA.

Boy, we posted "hentai grab bags" for the first time at this show, which were incredibly popular.

Our Hentai Games panel, where we announced a new partnership with legendary game maker Nitro+ along with a refresh of our JAST USA page, was a big hit.

Lots of hentai fans in the world. This is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Me getting abused by the yaoi cosplayers at our panel. It was quite an experience.

Run out of air?? Fall uncontrollably?? Whose idea of a joke was this?

The Hentai grab bags sound very cool. Include a game or no?

Hmm so someone really is an idol fan I see ^^ And here I thought the pictures you were posting on blog entries were just for show.
I'm so jealous. I've done handshakes with MM twice, gone to several events, been first row at Yokohama and am now recognized when i go to thinks as being the foreign fan who goes to several events with a group of Japanese otaku... but I'll never have an autograph and their signatures are adorable.
I do have Ogawa Makoto's personalized autograph however.

Yes, each hentai grab bag had various stuff, including 1-2 games and some manga.
Alita, it was fun although I am an "ojisan" and by definition, I don't know the younger members as I normally would. Transport me back to 2000 and let me meet the then-MM members, please ^_^

Yeah I think that's most reactions. I like all the generations though with the changes it'd probably be the 2001 group or now that I most like to meet. One thing I can say is Tsuji and Mari really are that short in person. X_x

Hey!
This is Tawny, the Louise cosplayer that visited your panel and assisted with the booth on Sunday.
You got some great shots - would you mind too much if I snagged them to repost elsewhere? I wouldn't mind giving you the credit, of course!
(Also, do you have the other images you took of us posted elsewhere, by any chance? I'd love to see those as well, if so!)
How's Comic-Con looking for you guys, by the way? Would you like assistance in the booth again?

Yes! Grab away, I'll also be happy to send you any pics you need. Sadly it looks like we don't need any help at Con this year, it's our local show so we've got all the employees helping. Have a few too many to be honest. Will you guys be at the show at all?
