I saw a food network program where the family members of the newborn cooked the saved placenta and prepared it like a paté then served it at a party. Sorry, trying not to be judgemental of other people's customs. Then there are my friends who saved their first child's placenta in the refrigerator for a year then planted it under a tangerine tree.
