I do watch a lot of drama's, although only one or two a season are any good and brilliant ones are even rarer. I think the vast majority of current anime sucks to be honest, sick of all this moe stuff. I've been watching a lot of 80's anime, good stuff back then.

Pretty much all the ER/CSI ripoffs are sucky, Gonzo was very good though.

I would call myself a japanophile, hell I'm moving there in 3 weeks. but that doesn't mean I'll enjoy watching people eat or learn boring facts about celebrities.

Japanese TV seems like something only an extreme, JP fluent Japanophile would thoroughly enjoy. The average Westerner would probably get some kicks, but go insane if they were forced live on it. (Even if there bilingual.) Me, I'm an Anime,Dorama,PV,CM,Jmusic otaku, I'd survive.

Heh, I think it depends on your point of view, like Obi Wan would say. I like it and watch it and don't see that many negatives. Well, a big one is every time they do a blatant copycat of an American show like ER or CSI, heh. So obvious and pathetic. But in general I'm entertained, and I even like NHK (gasp!).
